Unfortunately i didn't take many pictures while we were camping but we had so much fun. Of course it was for a softball tournament but it is one of my favorite tournaments. It is in St Regis, it's a really small town but it has such a nice place right on the river and the softball fields are next to a nice area to camp. I had told Kendall we were going camping so she asked every 5 minutes when we were going to leave and she was so excited that even though she stayed up late the night before she only took a 45 minute nap.
I opted to work Thursday so i could take Friday off and most people think i am crazy for it but it worked out really well and most of the other people i work with did the same thing.
Friday was Jason's birthday and one of his friends took him to play in a golf tournament which happened to be in the same place as the softball tournament. He had left that morning with a couple guys on the softball team and i went up later in the afternoon so Kendall and i wouldn't have to sit around waiting for him to finish golfing. Lucky for us he took the tent up with him and set it up before we got there so all we had to do was unload our stuff.
Even though we were camping i really wanted to make Jason a special treat for his Birthday to celebrate with. He is very picky about what sweets he eat mostly cause he just isn't a big fan of them. I was going to make his favorite cake but didn't want to have to worry about storing it since it would be impossible for him to eat the whole thing in one sitting. So I made him the bongo bars instead which we call cookie brownies. He ate most of them but i made him share a few.
The park is so nice, it is a really big grassed area and its nice having camp so close so if you need to you can just run over real quick and grab whatever you need. Kendall loved every minute of it. She had a couple minor melt downs but overall did really great and by Sunday afternoon she was ready to come home.
Its awesome getting to spend so much time with our "softball family" we are with these people almost every weekend and its awesome just getting to spend time with everyone and its nice because i can let Kendall run around and play and everyone knows who she is so they all look out for her.
Last night was the first time in weeks that she has actually stayed in her bed almost all night long (she did get up once but i put her right back in bed) and she slept until we had to wake her up to get ready for daycare.
This weekend there is another tournament but it isn't as family friendly (as in people are a little wild and it is a HUGE tournament with at least 100 teams) so Kendall is staying home with Auntie and Jason and I will be leaving Friday morning to another fun filled weekend of softball.
